The Maison

Our commitments

Working conditions we keep improving, ingredients we choose with care, waste we put to good use: our commitments take the form of concrete decisions. We want to make them visible to you, as simply as our creations.

Raw ingredients for our recipes

Our recipes

Flavour without artifice

To give our creations their colour, we use cocoa, spirulina, or hibiscus and safflower extracts, among others, depending on the recipe. We add no flavour enhancers.

Our fruit fillings contain more than 50% fruit and are made with no added gelatine or pectin. Only three flavours contain gluten: gingerbread, speculoos and praline, available exclusively at Le Clos Deville.

Every creation comes with its allergen information, so that you can choose with complete confidence.

How we work

Working well together

Since 2021, our production teams have worked a four-day week. In 2023, upgrades to our production line made it possible to alternate between sitting and standing, while reducing equipment-related risks and improving the sound environment.

Resources and packaging

Giving our waste a second life

Our organic waste is sent to an anaerobic digestion facility, which turns it into energy. This applies to all of the organic waste from our production.

We have replaced black PET packaging components with clear PET, free from carbon black. We choose recyclable packaging and are continuing this work with our suppliers.

Our region

Rooted in our region

Our workshop is in Roche-la-Molière, and we welcome you in Saint-Étienne. We support local charities and take part in the events that bring the region to life. Every year on 20 March, Macaron Day, the day’s takings at Le Clos Deville are donated to a local charity.

This attachment to our region is also reflected in the boutique, through our selection of coffees, teas, juices and other products from neighbouring artisans and producers.
